The BATTLE (Nail Polish) Challenge - Week 4

Welcome to Week 4 of the challenge! Today the theme is Neon vs Pastel.

This time I decided to combine the two. Keep reading to see the results!

Blogger Collaboration Series: My Take

You may have seen my recent guest bloggers taking inspiration from jewelry,
(Teneil, Christine, Lacqueerisa and Julz) so I thought I would jump in as well.
Here is a pair of earrings that I got from Diva:
I took the colour "idea" from the jewelry, but I didn't try to replicate it.

Blogger Collaboration Series: My Little Beauty World

I am pleased to welcome Taya from My Little Beauty World to the blog today.
Please make her feel welcome and, of course, don't forget to have a look at her page!
Source
Taya is the last guest blogger in this series; but it was so fun I may do
a similar collaboration in the future. Drop me a line if you'd be interested!

ALL the #nailmail!

If you are on Instagram you have probably seen this hashtag floating around - it's one of my favourites.
This means someone has received a package (from an online order, or a blog sale or a swap)
containing some pretty bottles!
Source
Today I thought I should show some of the amazing stuff that I have received,
and acknowledge the wonderful people who have sent it to me.

Winter Patterns

Hey lovely ladies!!!
Take a look at my guest post for Danielle at Totally Nailed.
I did some winter appropriate designs for her blog since it's cold in the UK!
Be back tomorrow with another stash showing! Thanks for stopping by!

Glitter me this, glitter me that

Today I thought I would show you some more glitter!!!
Source
When I was reorganizing  my stash not too long ago (here) I found some glitters that looked similar,
so of course, I had to compare them!

Showing my 'stache - Glitter (Part One)

Time to bring out the glitter!
Google Images
First part is glitter in a coloured base.

Making your $$$ work

Let me start off by saying: "Hello, my name is Natalia and I am a shopaholic!"
I am also stingy. The dilemma is how to make these traits co-exist.
Short answer - spend a little, get a lot! This is where these little beauties come in:
Source
All-A-Flutter (2012 LE Easter)
These retail in Australia for AUD$14.95 (ranges from $6.95 on clearance to $16.95 in some pharmacies).
(Not that I would EVER pay full price for ANYthing)
Today I will show you how to get 2 (yes, TWO) full manicures and pedicures out of the box.

Showing my 'stache - Black

Today I will show you some of the BLACK section of my 'stache.
Although usually my motto says: "Black is boring!" - it's good to break the rules once in a while.
Besides, these black polishes are anything but boring. See for yourself!

Also, I need your help - see question at the end of the post.

The BATTLE (Nail Polish) Challenge - Week 3

Today's installment of the challenge is Pink vs Purple!
I have lots of both colours and love to wear them equally, so this was a tough one.

In the end I decided to post some swatches from a recent NailMail from Brazil.
(Warning! cuticle horror ahead - continue at your own risk)

Showing my 'stache - Orange & Coral

This next part of the series is a surprising one - for me anyway!
I have a whole lot of orange and coral nail polish!!! Why? How? - No idea!

Source
I only ever wear it on my toes, but it' would be a great way to add a pop of colour
to a stamp on my nails (maybe I should try it LOL)

Update on a previous post

Just a quick update on a previous post.
A couple more colours from TBN I picked up and a star magnet.

First up is Drawn Together.
Direct Sunlight
With Flash
Lamp Light
I can't say enough great things about this polish!
The formula is amazing and the hidden shimmers start to dance in the sun light. It is very rare to find a magnetic that is a lighter colour, let alone one that reacts so well! I would absolutely recommend this to everyone. Planning to wear it as a normal polish (opaque in one coat).

And the other one I got is Opposites Attract.
Direct Sunlight
With Flash
Lamp Light
This one is a bit thicker, but nothing a few drops of thinner won't fix))
I like the glimmer of green in the gold!
But it didn't hold the design as well as some of the other brands.

I got these at a chemist (2 polish plus a magnet for $7)

Thanks for stopping by!

It is also my first attempt to create a splatter effect, without the mess))

Blogger Collaboration Series: Tee Bee's Nails

I have recently asked a few of my fellow bloggers to help me create a series of designs inspired by jewelry.
I must say the response has been overwhelming and I am very grateful to all that have taken part so far.

If you have not received a request from me, but would like to take part, please send me an email -
I would be very happy to include your work too!

The kitten and the Helmer

Today I will show you the "before and after" of my storage system.
If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen a preview already.
A very thorough inspection
In case you don't know, the Helmer is "kitten-approved" (or rather "kitten-proof") storage solution.

Where in the World - Day 12 South Africa

I wanted to do something bright and colourful for South Africa,
then I found this picture to inspire my design:

I guess it was more the colours, than the shapes, that attracted me.

Bloggers that inspire me

During my meeting with Mai from Nanna Nap last weekend we got to talking about what and who
inspires us, so I made a short list of bloggers that got me into nail art (not literally, because
I have never met them, but indirectly though their beautiful pictures)
Source
The Polishaholic is my number one source for swatches of collections
The Nailasaurus - Sam is very creative (check out her Michael Kors inspired studded nails!)
My Simple Little Pleasures - Colette is my first love - she is THE water marble guru! Love her kitty too))
Oooh, Shinies! - Bregje is the master of stamping (I tried it because of her!) bonus - lots of kitty pics!
Let Them Have Polish! - Chris is funny and adventurous
Nails and Noms - Rie has great designs and also amazing recipes
ChitChatNails - Marta's photos are stunning!
Nihrida - has a great collection and I love the reviews (obsession with Essence started here) plus lots of cats!

So there you go - some of my favorite people online! I'm sorry if I missed someone, this is my opinion only and if you have someone you admire greatly - please let me know in the comments.

Thanks for stopping by!

One of these is not like the other...

Can you spot the odd one out?

Is any blue just a blue? Not to a nail-aholic like me - see for yourself)))

As promised, today's post is all about Australian magnetic polishes.
Since Sally Hansen magnetics are costing around $17 (!), I found some wallet-friendly alternatives.

Come check me out!!!!

Hi all - just a quick post this morning))

Quite a few of you have asked for a tutorial on the Rubik's Cube design I posted last week -
thanks for the incredible feedback!!!!

If you are interested in this please come over to Behind the Stage Beauty blog.
Olga has kindly allowed me to create a guest post)))

A little later on I will post the Australian magnetic polishes review, so keep an eye out!

All about the 'stache in November

Not sure if you heard, but November in Australia is now called Movember.
To support men's health initiatives blokes are encouraged to grow a mo for the month
to raise awareness. Now, I am not saying I will be growing one, but I will show you my 'stache (stash).

When bloggers meet up (aka EPIC HAUL)

Yesterday I had an awesome experience of meeting up with a fellow blogger - Mai from Nanna Nap
It was so much fun!!! Amazing to be able to talk face-to-face about the stuff we write and read about (although she did call me a "crazy enabler" LOL).
As you would expect, the day was spent hunting polish and chatting)))

Original picture
We found some fantastic polishes and I had my very first LUSH store experience!

Where in the World - Day 11 Hungary

For the longest time I did not know what to do for today's country, until I read that the Rubik's Cube
was invented in Hungary. As soon as I read that I knew what my design would be!

Guest post from Nailed It NZ

Today I am posting over at Nailed It NZ and Jessie is taking over my blog.
Please welcome her and go follow her blog!

Hi! I’m Jessie from Nailed it NZ. I’d like to say a big thanks to Natalia for letting me do a guest post on her blog – and she’s doing one on mine too, so don’t forget to check hers out!
I decided to do my first four seasons manicure for this, and here’s is what I came up with:
